I love the pattern on these boots, the actual shoe fits nice, but the calves are narrow. My calves are 15 inches and these boots just zip over my bare leg, they have to be stretched out/broken in to zip up over pants. The zipper is really strong, however I worry for the embroidery fraying around the zipper over time. Overall really pretty boots though, the inside is soft leather so they will stretch out over time.
