Calais Chestnut Leather

The leave is soft. You do t have o work to hard to soften them up. They fit perfect to size.

So far they are comfortable. They fit snug on my calves. I don't have the biggest calves so if you do maybe these won't work for you. I am a 7.5/8 in most boots, the 38 is an exact fit so if you are a size 8 and like a little room, go with the 39. I'm curious how this will fit with thicker socks.
